How to travel to ACC Liverpool
Arrive by land, air, or sea. Two international airports, 20 minutes from the UK motorway network, and closer still to trains and ferries, ACC Liverpool is a venue that’s easy to reach. The address is Kings Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, Liverpool, Merseyside, L3 4FP.
Catch the train
ACC Liverpool is a short taxi or bus ride away from Liverpool Lime Street station and its direct services to London that take a little over two hours.
Take the bus
Many bus routes serve the bus station at the Liverpool ONE retail development, just a five-minute walk from ACC Liverpool.
Come by car
Less than 20 minutes from the UK motorway network and adjacent to Liverpool’s main through road, ACC Liverpool is perfectly placed if arriving by car.
Parking
There are 1450 parking spaces available in the on-site Kings Dock Car Park, with accessible bays and electric charging points on every floor.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport features charter and low-cost scheduled flights to a range of domestic, European and international destinations. All from the convenience and ease-of-access of a regional UK airport and an international airport at Manchester just 45 minutes away.

Sustainable travel incentives
Sustainable rail incentives
Sustainable incentives (max £150) can be claimed for all international train journeys that replace the use of transportation with a high carbon footprint such as flights. Applications will only be accepted from people who have travelled from outside of the UK. We will also accept applications from people departing from Northern Ireland. To qualify your entire journey should involve no flights, and minimal driving.
To make a claim, please submit an expense claim form after the conference, detailing all of the costs incurred during your trip. Reimbursements will be made up to a maximum of £150.
Sustainable travel blog and prize
We will award one prize of £700 for the attendee who submits the best blog post describing how they made their journey to the conference more sustainable. The winner will be selected by The Company of Biologists Sustainability team. All blogs should be a maximum of 700 words. N.B. We may require some receipts and additional details to verify the trip.
